PRAYERS
Four Prayers
All consecrated members are obliged to recite the following Four Prayers of the Community daily:
1) "HEAR, O ISRAEL" (DEUT 6:4-9, LEV 19:8)
Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord; and you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. You shall love your neighbour as yourself.
And these words which I command you this day shall be upon your heart; and you shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. And you shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.
2) "OUR FATHER" (MT 6:9-13)
3) "LAUDS OF GOD THE MOST HIGH"
You are Holy, O Lord, the One God, You who work wonders.
You are strong, You are great, You are Most High.
You are the Almighty King, You, Holy Father, are the King of heaven and earth.
You are Three and One, Lord God, every good.
You are the Good, all Good, the highest Good, Lord God, living and true.
You are Charity, Love, You are Wisdom.
You are Humility, You are Patience.
You are all our Riches, You are Beauty, You are Gentleness.
You are our Protector, You, our Guardian and De-fender.
You are Fortitude, You are our Solace.
You are our Faith, You, our Hope.
You are our great sweetness.
You are our Eternal Life.
Great and Wonderful Lord, God Al-mighty, Merciful Saviour.
